Many cardiac procedures are performed on an outpatient basis, not requiring that
the patient remain in the hospital overnight. The Outpatient Services department
at Providence prepares approximately 1,500 cardiac patients a year for their
outpatient procedures from the moment they are admitted, through recovery
and discharge. The experienced staff works efficiently to assure patients
are comfortable and also make post-procedure phone calls to assess their
conditions after returning home.
